Bengali Association of Greater Michigan
(BAGM) is created to promote the development of Bengali communities,
education, culture and charities, and also to help and educate the
next generation of Bengali Communities to understand, learn, participate
and enjoy the richness of the cultural heritage of Bengal.
We need whole hearted participation from the Bangla speaking community
of Greater Michigan.
North American Bengali Conference ...
The North American Bengali Conference (NABC)
is the grandest annual celebration of Bengali heritage
outside of India. Bringing together Bengalis from around
the world, the conference provides a forum for interaction;
and celebrates all aspects of Bengali culture-its music,
dance and theater to literature, film and art.
From a one-day event in 1981 attended by a few hundred
patrons from metropolitan New York, NABC has grown into
a three-day extravaganza attracting tens of thousands
of attendees from all around the world. NABC has visited
nearly fifteen North American cities since its inception.
The mission of this conference is to provide a non-religious,
non-political platform for the world-wide Bengali Community
to celebrate their rich cultural heritage, exchange
experiences and share knowledge. NABC recognizes that
the businesses have a desire to return something of
value to people of the communities that support them.
NABC offers an annual opportunity for them to contribute
to the community. Through this conference NABC hopes
to entertain, catalyze positive change, educate, inspire
and contribute to mainstream America.
